Antique Car Show

Saturday, September 15th, 2018
11:00AM – 4:00PM
5th Street (in front of the Fernie Heritage Library between 2nd & 3rd Ave)
Historic Downtown Fernie, BC

As part of the 3rd Annual Fernie Chautauqua & Fall Fair, September 13-16, 2018.

We would be very pleased to see some early model Fords at our event!

I would be very grateful if you could promote our event to your members. Please be sure to register your interest with us so that we can allocate the appropriate amount of space for all attending.

Please also let me know if anyone would like information on discounted accommodation or advance tickets for any of the other event on the Chautauqua weekend. In addition to the popular ticketed events, we will also have several free events in the vicinity of the car show on the Saturday, including live music, Ktunaxa demonstrations, Art and Heritage on the Lawn.

I look forward to hearing from you by email at rebecca.hall@ferniemuseum.com

Car Show at Mayfair Care Centre

My name is Lonnie Pakos and I work at the Mayfair Care Centre in the recreation department. We are trying to plan a pre-Father's Day car show on Monday, June 11th at 1 PM. We are curious if any of your members may be interested in participating in this event.

If so could you please contact Lonnie at 403-252-4445 or recreation@mayfaircarecentre.com

If the weather is unfavourable we will cancel on the 11th and we will try again at 1 o'clock on Friday, June 15th.
We have invited other individuals and car clubs to join us so at this point we have no idea as to how many participants we may have.

Thank you very much for your time

2018 President's Tour

Thanks to everyone who helped organized the tour

The Heritage Centre

I would personally like to invite the Foothills Model-T Club to display your automobiles at the Heritage Treasures Springtime Market which takes place on June 8, 9 and 10 at “The Heritage Centre” located just 1 mile east of Cremona, Alberta. Ideally, Saturday (June 9) would be our busiest day, and we would welcome you even for a brief couple hours if you are out on tour. Our market will include 50+ Antique, Vintage Vendors and Artisans and the cars would be a bonus feature.

Our venue is “Wondrous” set on 10 acres, it includes a 1915 Eaton’s Catalogue Home; a 1908 Historic Barn restored to its turn of the century grandeur with an expansive Event Centre Addition. This expansive property is the perfect setting to allow you to showcase your beautiful automobiles.

Please feel free to contact me at 403-991-7993 or email dpchandler53@gmail.com. In addition, you may contact Debora Rice-Salomons at 403-651-6090 or Debora@MVETheHeritagecentre.com.

We look forward to your participation.

Sincerely,

Daphne P. Bennett

Tours – List of upcoming tours or events

April 14th – Garage tour was well attended.
April 29th – Spring Thaw Show and Shine Calgary and Rendezvous Days in Eureka
May 26th – Safety Check will be held at Braeside Automotive
June 2nd -  President's Tour to Turner Valley. Tom asked if we can start from Les and Karin’s. It will be about a 35km drive on back roads. Wheels will be washed if possible. 10 – 12 interested in attending. Some members may be looking for a ride share for the June tour or for the fall tour.
Aspen Crossing is another tour alternative. If there are 24 or more attending there is a 20% discount. Price would be $106.00 per person and would include lunch.
Heritage Park does not have a limit on the number of cars for Dominion Day. Tom C will let Art Bent know at the next meeting if he will be able to attend.
July 25 – 28, 2018 North Country Waterways Oldies Tour – brass era to 1940’s cars. Progressive tour, no trouble truck and optional stop at Bruderheim Model T Races.  5 – 6 cars maybe interested.
Rod Wallace has also suggested a tour of the YahaTinda Ranch, sometime before September. Maybe a spring tour take modern cars and have a picnic.
