Model T Races

The Alberta Fairground T Racers put on an exhibition at the High River Ag Society racetrack on Saturday, June 18th.  Everyone had fun, fans and racers alike.

Here's a note from Al Riise about the event.

Congratulations to all the driver's, workers, fans and especially Larry & Trevor for providing a truly great recreation of the 75 Aniversary of Fairground Model T Racers in Alberta.
From the grandstands to the walk abouts the excitement of the event was truly in the air !
Many we talked to are looking forward to the next one and a match up of the speed & excitement of the day.
Assomeone remarked upon leaving the grandstands, the Rodeo grounds and High River have found a brand new event to attend.
Well done.
Regards Al R.

Recently Rod Wallace asked what parts and tools he should carry when touring. The original Ford tool kit was sparse and changed a bit over the years.  These are the tools for the 1909-1913 model years: T1349 hub cap wrench. T1387 adjustable wrench. T1902 screwdriver. T1903 pliers. T1904 spark plug wrench. T1917 wrench. T2336 tool roll. T2337 oil can. T2338 tire pump. T2340 tire iron.

Safety Check

Many thanks to Ted Zylstra for making his Braeside Auto facility available to the Club for our annual safety check. Ted also provided a smoke'n good BBQ.
